During the ASSET five day program participants work on building self-confidence, communication skills and setting goals. The objective of this unique program is to assist clients in striving towards their goals in a supportive and accommodating environment. As barriers are addressed, empowerment follows through the identification of strengths and abilities.
Some of the topics covered are:
- Confidence Building
- Understanding and Defining Strengths
- Acknowledging and Improving Weaknesses
- Goal Setting and Action Plans
- Emotions in the Workplace
- Positive Thinking
What participants are saying about ASSET:
“I have really gotten a boost in confidence from the ASSET course and I feel like I can do more!”
“I learned from ASSET that I do have a voice and rights as a person with a disability. I realized that I am already on my way, I just have some knots to untie.”
“Confidence building grows with experience and overcoming challenges. Even having your own challenges does not and will not keep you from being the successful “you” that you want to be.”
“The ASSET course was the most comfortable I have ever been in a group setting and it was the perfect environment for me to learn.”
“I have learned how to better express myself. I have learned how to better deal with rejection and how to “turn lemons into lemonade” (i.e. be more positive). I have learned how to better motivate myself.”
