ASSET Participant Quotes
“I have really gotten a boost in confidence from the ASSET course and I feel like I can do more. The job interview section was also a big help for me!”
“I learned from ASSET that I do have a voice and rights as a person with a disability. I found deeper meanings to certain words and realized that I am already on my way, I just have some knots to untie.”
“Confidence building grows with experience and overcoming challenges. Even having your own challenges does not and will not keep you from being the successful “you” that you want to be.”
“The ASSET course was the most comfortable I have ever been in a group setting and it was the perfect environment for me to learn.”
“I have learned how to better express myself during an interview and on the job. I have learned how to better deal with rejection and how to “turn lemons into lemonade” (i.e. be more positive). I have learned how to better motivate myself.”
