MLA Lenore Zann on stigma and mental health

reachAbility is pleased to launch the 2014 season of Inclusion Revolution on Eastlink Television. Airing weekdays at 2 p.m. and Wednesday evenings at 9 p.m., the show is an engaging, community-based show dedicated to creating a culture of inclusion.

For the current season, host Tova Sherman provides us with an entertaining and informative opportunity to change the way we view disabilities in our community, workplace and beyond through discussions with experts on a variety of topics.

The episode for the week of January 20, “Stigma and Mental Health,” features Truro-Bible Hill MLA Lenore Zann, who was named one of the Faces of Mental Illness by the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health for 2013. Sherman speaks to Zann about her personal journey with mental illness, and how we can eradicate the stigma.

As Zann recently said to the Chronicle Herald, "I believe the time has come to put an end to the shame as this knowledge and acceptance will save many lives."

Stay tuned for all thirteen episodes featuring topics such as PTSD, creativity, inclusive employers, sexuality and more! The full schedule can be viewed on the Inclusion Revolution website:
