Halifax Comedian and Poet on His Experience at reachAbility

Halifax comedian and poet Josh Dunn is the recipient of reachAbility's Imagination Award. In this entertaining video, he speaks about his experience at reachAbility where he participates in our Gateway program, teaches creative writing classes and makes videos.

Josh will be presenting his one-man play, The Sh*t Show, at the BusStop Theatre on March 25, 2014. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the show is pay-what-you-can with a suggested $10. Proceeds go toward reachAbility.

About Josh and The Sh*t Show:

Josh has been a comedian and poet for more than seven years in Halifax and has worked for Yuk Yuks for the past three. Unquestionably known around Halifax, Josh once won a competition where he was the only contestant not in drag! Though anyone's journey as an artist is extremely difficult and success is often rather scant, cerebral palsy, both due to its physical complications and its unfortunate social status as "other" (with only marginally successful predecessors), has made that journey even tougher for Josh.

"The Sh*t Show" is sometimes humorous, sometimes disturbing and always inspiring. It forces its audience to consider things previously not pondered and assumptions are simply obliterated.
