Tova understands first hand living with the realities of brain health challenges as she balances ADHD which manifests in anxiety and depression, into her passion for reachAbility and leveling the playing field for all persons with disabilities.
Tova has grown reachAbility from an idea into one of the largest comprehensive charitable organizations in the Maritimes. Tova is an award winning nationally recognized inclusion and disabilities expert and trainer who frequently speaks and facilitates at conferences and venues across Canada. Tova is featured on numerous media sources including the world-class TED lecture circuit and her own television series, Inclusion Revolution.
Tova’s accomplishments include the prestigious Certificate in Executive Managementfrom Cornell University, New York (2013) received the 2013 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her Service to Canada and Nova Scotia. She is also a 2014-2016 Member of the Advisory Committee on Adjudicative Boards – for Nova Scotia Department of Justice.
reachAbility Associationis a not-for-profit registered charity that has helped thousands of individuals living with all types of disabilities since its inception in 2000. reachAbility offers 8 programs which help clients with employability skills, education initiatives, mental health clinics, summer camps and free legal support. Through its Disability Awareness Training (DAT) reachAbility offers employers education in the workplace to provide dignity to employees with disabilities.
