Please note: The Imagination Awards application process is now closed as of September 30, 2013. We will be reviewing submissions over the next few weeks, and will get in touch with successful applicants after that time.
We are excited to announce our annual Imagination Awards – five $2,000 awards given to individuals who intend to increase the inclusion of persons living with disabilities in their respective communities. The awards are intended to support someone looking to pursue studies in an accredited institution or undertake a project in the community that will promote an inclusive world.
“The Imagination Awards are about rewarding creativity, good ideas and opportunities,” says co-founder and CEO of reachAbility, Tova Sherman. “Perhaps someone wishes to take a course, attend school and/or start a project in their community – we’re open to ideas that are full of imagination and that will help applicants move forward their own lives and increase inclusion.”
The deadline to apply for an Imagination Award is Monday, September 30, 2013. Applicants must be 19 or older, residents of Nova Scotia, and currently enrolled in an accredited institution or with a recognized organization that is dedicated to building an inclusive community.
