A big thank you to the Centre for Arts and Technology - Halifax for giving our RHYTHM (DJ) group a tour of their campus! Our clients greatly benefited from meeting audio engineering faculty and students, getting to see professional recording studios and taking part in an informative and entertaining class where we learned a bit about how sound works, how it can be recorded and then manipulated to create desired effects.
RHYTHM — an acronym for “Reaching Halifax Youth Through Harmony and Music” — is a unique program for youth aged 16-25. Participants work with professional DJs to learn the skills involved in disc jockeying — building self-confidence, self-esteem and a positive self-image at the same time. In the program we aim to provide opportunities for participants to expand on their skills, as well as learn about careers after the program. Thanks again to the Centre for Arts and Technology for enriching our clients experience in the program.
We have a new RHYTHM group beginning Wednesday, May 28. If you or someone you know is interested in participating, please get in touch.
